The Ann Arbor Concert Band resumes its 43rd concert season in outstanding fashion as we continue the process of selecting our new conductor. Conductor finalist David Leach steps to the podium presenting “Summer Plans” featuring “633 Squadron”, music of Ron Goodwin, Morten Lauridsen’s breathtaking “O Magnum Mysterium”, “Mont Blanc” by Otto M. Schwarz, Rossano Galante’s spirited “Sailing with Whales”, Eric Whitacre’s “October”, “Jupiter from The Planets” by Gustav Holst, “Elsa’s Procession to the Cathedral” by Richard Wagner, and the inspirational “Liberty Fanfare” by John Williams. This concert also showcases our 2022 Andrew J. Lum & David R. Juillet Young Artist Scholarship Competition Winner Noah Vogel, a Euphonium player from Ann Arbor Pioneer High School, performing Joseph Horowitz's “Euphonium Concerto”.
