Description

Presented at this year's Ann Arbor Film Festival. After the death of her father, twenty-five-year-old Belekmaa settles down with the shepherds on her father’s remote farm. She assumes his position and hopes to see him again, if only in her dreams, before the day comes, when according to the Tuvan tradition, the spirit of the deceased would be fed for the last time and then ultimately bid farewell. Camp on the Wind’s Road offers a highly atmospheric and participatory cinema experience. Sad and cheerful, vivid and mystical, the film moves between the austere family life in the wilderness and the search for spiritual comfort. In Russian with English subtitles.
