The Ann Arbor Concert Band continues its 40th season celebration in delightful fashion under the direction of James Nissen, presenting
“Curtain Up!” featuring classic overtures for the New Year! Joseph Wilcox Jenkin’s classic “American Overture”, Hector Berlioz’s dynamic “Roman Carnival Overture”, Rossini’s fanciful “Italian in Algiers Overture”, Felix Mendelssohn’s “Overture for Band”, “A Grand, Grand Overture for Three Vacuum Cleaners, One Floor Polisher and Concert Band” by Malcolm Arnold and more!
Concert highlight: 50/50 raffle. Winner receives a $50 Gift Card from Metzger’s German Restaurant and conducts the Band performing John Philip Sousa’s “Hands across the Sea”!
