The last film by Writer/Director Ingmar Bergman starring Liv Ullmann (Persona, Autumn Sonata) and Erland Josephson (Fanny and Alexander), which received only a limited release in the United States. Thirty years since their divorce and without contact, Marianne (Ullmann) suddenly feels a need to see her ex-husband Johan (Josephson) again, and decides to visit him at his old summer house in the western province of Dalarna.
