Join us for an evening in conversation with the longest serving senior advisor to President Barack Obama, Valerie Jarrett. In her memoir, Finding My Voice, Valerie shares her journey as a daughter, mother, lawyer, business leader, public servant, and leader in government at a historic moment in American history. Jarrett has received numerous awards and honorary degrees, including Time’s “100 Most Influential People.” She received her B.A. from Stanford University in 1978 and her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 1981.
Moderated by Broderick Johnson: an Adjunct Professor at University of Michigan and partner in the Washington, D.C., office of Bryan Cave. He served in the Obama Administration as assistant to the president and cabinet secretary (acting as the president's primary liaison to members of the Cabinet) and was also was appointed chair of the White House's My Brother's Keeper Task Force. He also served in the Clinton White House as deputy assistant for legislative affairs. This is a ticketed event and each ticket will include a signed copy of Jarrett’s memoir, Finding My Voice.
