The Ann Arbor Concert Band begins its 44th concert season in outstanding fashion as David Leach, our newly appointed Artistic Director and Conductor steps to the podium to present “Overtures for a New Era” featuring Joseph Willcox Jenkins’ classic “American Overture for Band”, George Gershwin’s dynamic “Cuban Overture”, Philip Spark’s “Overture for a Great City”, Vincent Persichetti’s “Symphony No. 6 for Band” and a World Premiere: Stravinsky’s “Symphony in E-Flat, Opus 1: IV. Finale”, arranged for band by A2CB principal euphonium Todd Nichols.
